What is the Web?

Most of the time, we use the surface web of the Internet. The surface web is made up of billions of web pages. All these webpages are hosted on different servers, and search engines can easily access all these servers. When we enter a URL in the browser, the browser sends a request to the server of that URL and receives the request from the server to allow us to view the desired webpage.
When we type something into Google or another search engine, we immediately see a slew of links to websites. All of these are part of the Surface Web. This surface web is 4% of the Internet; that is, the amount of information we can see is only 4% of the total information on the Internet. The remaining 96% of information is either invisible to us or cannot be indexed by any search engine.

That is, the parts of the surface web that we can see or browse and that search engines can index.
What is Deep Web?
- Subscription only information.
- Academic database.
- Scientific reports.
- Government reports.
- Medical records.
- Legal documents.
- Financial records.
- Organization specific information and many more.
All of the organizations or websites mentioned above are part of the deep web. That is, this information cannot be indexed by any search engine and is not publicly visible. No one can access this information.
What is the Dark Web?
In simple words, the dark web is the dark world of the internet. The dark web, on the other hand, is a part of the internet that cannot be accessed through a normal browser; you have to follow certain channels to access it. It is a network hidden from normal internet users. Accessing this hidden dark web requires specific software, configuration, or authorization.
The dark web is a part of the deep web. Normal search engines cannot access the dark web. Many people mistakenly use the term "deep web" to refer to the dark web. But these are two different things. While everyone can access the dark web under certain conditions, the "deep web" cannot be accessed by ordinary people.
The dark web consists of tiny peer-to-peer networks. Besides, there are big networks like Free Net, I2P, and Tor. These networks are managed by common organizations and individuals. These networks are encrypted or anonymous networks.
The internet we normally use does not use high-level encryption. That's why dark web users call our normal internet the "clearnet."
But the dark web network Tor places more emphasis on keeping its users anonymous on the dark web. Tor uses a multi-layered encryption system that makes it nearly impossible to trace the identity or location of dark net users.
The I2P network, on the other hand, allows for the anonymous hosting of websites on the dark web.This means that when you enter the dark web, you will be in a high-level encryption system. Your original IP address will be encrypted in multiple layers, making decryption nearly impossible.So communication, conversation, or file sharing between users on the dark net is done with the utmost security and privacy.
Domains on the dark web are different from the domains we see on the surface web. The majority of domains on the dark web are.onion. Also, the URLs of sites on the dark web are different. They are not readable like the Surface Web.

When I first heard about the dark web a long time ago, I somehow felt a sense of curiosity. Back then, the dark web was considered a terrible place. Many people used to believe that the device could only be hacked after entering the dark web.People used to talk in many different ways. My curiosity started to grow. I really wanted to access the dark web, but I didn't have an Android phone then.
Later, when I entered the dark web, it felt like the normal web to me. People really exaggerate.
